100 Days of Writing: Day 2

100 Days of Writing: Day 2

Came here to say I did my thousand words for today. 🙂

I also just read from an online forum how harmful the idea that writers must write every day in order to be successful is, because it just adds to the unnecessary pressure writers feel about their output or word count. So I feel I must emphasize that you must do you.

The only reason I share my attempt to write every day is because I am the kind of person who will benefit from a regimented approach like this. You might not. It’s okay. There are several, several paths to greatness.

One thing I’d like to take note of, though, is that when you look to people for advice, ask advice from people who know what they’re talking about, and who have already walked a semblance of the path you want to take. Not so you can copy their tricks unquestioningly, but to try and find out if what they’re saying works for you.

The thing you don’t realize sometimes is that you already know the answer, you’re just afraid of what it requires you to change.
