Metro Tarak Organ Scouts in Washington Square Review 52

Hello, fellow readers! My first speculative fiction short story Metro Tarak Organ Scouts is out now at Washington Square Review. This story is very hustlers be hustling in a future Philippines where selling organs is where it’s at. You’ll meet Kap, who will do anything to achieve “the good life” and Bok, who speaks organ, and who may or not be key to said “good life.”

This was a story that first came to me during the Clarion 2017 workshop. Two fully realized characters who couldn’t find a plot that would bring out their best/worst selves. After a LOAD of rewrites I found a conceit that was both fun for me, and hopefully, for them.

I’m very happy with how this story turned out and I’m so excited to learn more and more about this writing thing. Being in the same TOC as these other writers (including a Clarion 2017 workshop fellow, the very cool Sanjena Sathian), is quite a trip! Aaaah! Can’t wait to read everything on here!

Eric from the US was able to get a copy and show it to me. It looks so nice! (All pictures in this post are his! He takes great photos too, look.)

Canadian and US readers can buy it here or get a subscription!
