Mission Accomplished

The idea is to look for shooting stars.
And when you find it, you’ll find
Everyone who never believed in you
Still don’t, and never will

Everyone who had faith in you
Knew you had it in you all along
And so the truth is not in what
Other people think, ever.

Every dream gets respect
Only to the extent that you respect it
And give meaning to it, and time,
And love, and good vibes.

The sad thing is, no one else
Gets to do the job but you.
The wonderful thing is, no one else
Gets to do the job but you.

To everyone who’s been told
There is no real love, no real meaning,
Remember that the world conforms
To what you sincerely believe it to be.

Only, be careful, be ever-aware,
That what you believe in,
Should be so true, your heart leaps
At the thought of it.

Any trace of sadness, or frustration,
Or disgust, or pity, is your only clue,
That you have wandered so far
You are mistaking pain for home.
