Webcam died on me tonight ugh

I streamed tonight because I didn’t want to but I needed to finish the last lap of the novella. Last scene and as expected I’m procrastinating like hell. This is so expected of me! But now at least I got the pipes laid down today, though I still need to see whether I’m seeing a fire in the final scene or whether I’m too much of a wuss to do it. Or am I really thinking of a different kind of fire? I’ll sleep on it.

In any case, as a sort of update, things are still pretty much up in the air for me. I don’t know what the rest of the year is going to look like, so really all I can do right now is to do the next thing. Or to do the thing that needs doing. There’s a lot, chore-wise, but also a few fun things. Also my huge TBR pile. So, ultimately I’m grateful for my play things.

Some notes about the stream, I’ve tried dual streaming for the first time today, I now understand why streamers do a streaming soon banner. Apparently there are stuff you can only fix while you’re live (like how I’ve somehow come onto YouTube with the chat turned off). Also I can’t verify how my audio sounded like over at Twitch. I just know for sure it’s kind of not loud enough on YouTube. Twitch seems to be the better place to be in terms of engagement, as I immediately got a couple of viewers and a nice little side chat going.

I’m kind of excited to stream Hollow Knight on Saturday. But I’m still so scared of committing to a schedule. Tomorrow I should be streaming in the morning actually. My planned schedule was mornings of Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays for writing, and just Saturday evenings for gaming. Look, the writing sprints on stream work. I’m not sure if it’s because I’ve got an exhibitionist side of me or because it’s a kind of soft accountability declaring what you need to do to someone before you actually do it.

These are early days, and there’s so much to learn.
